New tool for scammers?

Apparently Chrome now has a feature that lets you barge into someone else's computer and put your choice of material in front of them. You have to opt in, but that opt in says valid until you turn it off.

I wonder how long it will be before some ambitious scammer figures out how to bypass the opt in requirement.

Yep.
Today's software houses seem happy to make their products "call home", and report various things to various people. Remember when "calling home" was a warning about potential security breaches, and wise computerists refused to use such software?
Well, here is yet another example ... Windows10 has a "feature" that is not easily disabled ... to call home!
So, some folks might actually be led to believe Microsoft saw something wrong with their computer, and sent a scammer to fix it!
