Jamaican scam scamming the scammed

This might be a little duplicative of another subforum here ... but it can be used as a place to post "sightings" of a scam ... without posting a defense or solution.
(If too redundant, the topic can be deleted)

Jamaican scam scamming the scammed

Post by DaFox on Wed Apr 01, 2015 12:55 pm
Very briefly, a few minutes ago, there was a forum post on the 800notes sites, "I received back my money."
In it the OP and then several clones stated that by calling a Jamaican number, they were able to recover the money stolen by Jamaican Lotto thieves, by - get this - Sending a one time payment via Western Union... blah blah blah.
Well, the posts got moderated very quickly, yaaaayy, but as it turns out the Jamaican number had not yet been reported on 800Nnotes.... until just now :-D

Well done Da Fox! And well said! :tiphat: I saw that also and reported it. Definitely a scam operation and preemptive shilling!

Hopefully they learned a lesson on that.. The one of it isn't going to be gotten away with!
