DM1 - here is a link for a direct download of adobe flash without the installer program which seems to be giving you trouble

You will see two folders. One for Internet Explorer and the other for Firefox and Chrome download the appropriate one for the browser you are using (I believe you said you use firefox)

Version 11.7 is not the newest version of flash player but is very stable. Once installed, it should prompt you for an update at some point. Please do so.
