Trying to force us into things we don't want, lol! If I decide to upgrade I'll go through my tech then.

From what I've heard from friends that use it, they're not thrilled with it-to each their own I suppose...

Great...another person talking over my head (not angry-I get this all the time with my tech guy-I kinda know what the command line is, that's working with the command console correct?)Guest wrote:

No harm done Guest-any tech knowledge I give out is either based on my own knowledge-which is mostly minor stuff, or told to me by my tech guy or another friend

I'm off work today to let the HVAC maintenance guy in. He just left. I think I'll head to DIT in a few minutes. They are further than the office supply places but they know computers so they'll give me better service.
Yes, I know upgrading this week isn't critical. But my workload is scheduled to increase a lot in a couple of weeks. This may be my last chance until August.

i've been doing this IT thing for 24 years and I can honestly say the best Window OS I have ever used is windows server 2000. XP is a close second. Vista and Me were equal on POS scale. As soon as I had the funds, I went to a Win7 machine. I almost never upgrade simply because most of my software is FLOSS and moving to 7 helped keep me current. Man that's a lot of mouse clicks with the on-screen keyboard. And if you have Window 8 on a touch screen device you can pretend you are texting.
