Re: Monitor problem?
Those of us old enough to be members of aarp are not ALL washed up in the eyeball department. I resisted changing my resolution from 2560 × 1440 but it was getting tougher to see over time. Now at 1440 x 900. However, I suspect getting bifocals helped more than I believe in that regard. :geek:

Re: windows 10
So as I've said, I have Windows 10 on two machines but due to the very concerning security breaches, charges for applications that were previously free and the limited improvements over Windows 7, I'm staying put for now regarding my main machine. A desktop from 2001 !! (That I've upgraded over the ...

How to deal with a persistent bill collector's harassing phone calls. First, demand they provide you proof of debt. Do this VERY QUICKLY! You only have a limited time to legally make this demand. Don't put up with any of their BS. Tell them to stop trying to scare you and answer the question and pro...

Re: Monitor problem?
Sounds like it may actually be a dead monitor. Do you have one you can snitch from somewhere just to test in your pc/laptop. That will tell the story.

Re: Monitor problem?
Yep, I see a pic of it from the site below: port is on the left side. http://www.notebookcheck.net/Acer-Aspire-5253-BZ480.49970.0.html Once the external monitor is connected and you've booted up the laptop, press FN & F5 to route to the larger screen. "Acer Aspire 5253-BZ480: Ctrl-Alt-ESC while comp...

Re: Monitor problem?
None of the buttons on the monitor work either, like the menu button. Is there some way to hook it up to the laptop to test it? I have a port, but it didn't come on when I connected it so maybe I have to tell the laptop to turn it on? ABSOLUTELY! If the laptop has a vga port, pop it right in there....

Re: Monitor problem?
A white screen, sort of a dull white-gray usually indicates the monitor is not fully connected. Can be at either end. The vga connector may be loose where it goes into the monitor itself, at the pc end or even both. If this is not the case, the second thing to look at is the video card. Often reseat...

LocateFamily.com ???
I've been getting text messages and random calls for YEARS on my cell phone asking for two specific people. Martha Jensen and Trevor Samuels. Since all my business lines (four) are forwarded to my cell during working hours, I considered it the cost of having biz numbers posted out there on the web a...

Re: pissedconsumer.com aka consumer opinion llc
I had a looksee around pissedconsumer. TONS of moaning about the most petty things! Some of it is interesting insomuch as you wonder about and question the sanity of these folks posting really off the wall stuff.
